When we talk about protagonists, we tend to look at someone who would always end up being the protagonist of the episode regardless of the efforts of the other characters.

It doesn't take up all the screen time of the episode. Instead, he appears when the time is right and allows the other characters to play their part as well.

The way Light confronts the criminals and then enters a different state of mind makes us wonder what exactly the protagonist is. Aren't the good guys supposed to be the main characters?

Is Light correct? Or is his ideology false? When a character faces situations like this, you know they're unique. And Light is unique in its kind.

He has his ideology and will not change it for anyone. And that's why Light Yagami is so high on this list.

7. Eren Yeager (Attack on Titan)

Eren Yeager's appearance shouldn't come as a surprise considering how popular Attack On Titan is. I mean, when season four came out, everyone and their mothers were talking about Attack on Titan.

At first glance, Okabe may seem like a mad scientist. However, immediately after the 12th episode of the anime, the situation changes to another degree. All the effort in the last 12 episodes has now paid off and we have experienced a new side of this man.

Yes, I'm talking about Luffy from One Piece. And man, wouldn't I say, Luffy is a cool piece of character. You see, the trend of stupid anime protagonists goes way back and we have tons of such individuals.

However, none of them are as good as Luffy. Although he is a fool when it comes to making decisions, the sheer amount of emotion this man creates before every fight is insane.

Like he got into a stupid fight with a superpowered character and you STILL hoped he would win. He is so seductive. To sum up his personality, I would say that my man has changed without changing.

Yes, our boy L Lawliet is one of the most recognizable characters in the realm of fiction, and let me just say this, he deserves all the love and praise he gets.

I don't think I even need to mention this, but for those who don't know, L Lawliet is one of the protagonists of Death Note. Yes, he stands against Light Yagami as the antagonist of the series.

And just like the Light, it also forces us to rethink the concept of the Adversary. If you watched Death Note back in your Weeblet days, you might remember how compelling his personality was.

This was true to the point that many of us would even try to sit like him or drink tea like him. His presence was enchanting. However, it's not just his impression on viewers that's so great, but also the immense value he adds to the Death Note franchise.

If you ask any Death Note fan about L's absence from the story, you'll only get negative responses. In other words, everyone who watched Death Note sees L as the soul of the series.
